My prayer is that you, maybe with a word I share, will love the Bible & adore Jesus. O, it is THE Book of books, Best Romances, adventures, evil people & nations stopped, lessons taught! Peter denied Jesus thrice before His execution. But the LOVE that restored him (& us) is hidden plainly in John 21. Jesus sees Peter swim ahead of the boat to see the resurrected Jesus! Jesus does not ask WHY the denials, or offer second chances. He simply asks, "Peter, do U love (agape) me?" Yes, THREE times. Humble Peter finally says, "You alone know." No longer brash, rash, first in class. That is how Peter was restored. Jesus & Love. Smith Wigglesworth, on the Bible, the only book he learned to read at 23: "When i read the newspaper I feel dirtier than I went in. When I read the Bible I feel cleaner than I went in. And I like feeling clean." PTL, shalom & Aleluia Thoughts I am expanding upon following Richard's generous visits to my recent posts, and his thought-provoking questions. 1. Why did the great psychoanalyst, Karl Jung, almost never condemn criminals and proven racists and evil leaders? (Good answers will receive, from moi, an ACROSTIC poem with your name/s.) 2. Before we romanticize the words of Jesus, "I am the BREAD of life," remember He was ready to go into the fire, literally through the Oven</b) 2. In the 3 days Jesus was dead (apparently in the tomb), he had preached in Hades or SHEOL, to those who died without hearing His Gospel. (NT bible is clear, Jesus "descended into hell" to preach to the "dead" prophets & all people before His time on earth. God is ever fair, and just. He won't condemn anyone who has NOT heard Jesus and His Grace preached. 3. Judas was self-righteous, and did not wait for Jesus Resurrection three days after crucifixion. Peter did, & was self-effacing, to the point of privileging God's favor. He lacked the real repentance of Peter: Peter knew the Mercy and Grace of GOD is greater than our sins. Even Hillsong's famous, "What a Beautiful Name it is, in second verse, says "My sin was great, His Love was greater, WHAT COULD SEPARATE US NOW!" 4. I don't get many comments or visits. But check it out: Since I began writing about Favour (FAVOR i enjoy in Jesus) my ratings here are rising. Not because of man or woman, only the MERCY/Grace of Jesus. I believe it, U better believe it. amen Thoughts I am expanding upon following Richard's generous visits to my recent posts, and his thought-provoking questions.
