Poem
The rain creates, the patter on the ground children splash and splatter, boots of fun, giggles full of laughter, bind their hearts are we, but just, the remnants of our youth Wrapped in live's of never ending bills our live's a constant battle cry for toys must have that bike, that latest phone and car we wake before the light of day begins from lovers beds of warmth we shudder climb We stumble to our life's demands for work the money for our children's toys and games the money for our food so life remains Yet proud are we to work for joy of home to bring the bacon home to lover's throne to fill our home with gifts to growing youth to watch the children glow with fun and games are we, but just the pawns, in rich men's games we work, we fight, we struggle to survive we listen to the spin of rich man lies as people make excuses for our pain does Gossip propaganda sway our dreams are we but toys, in tapestries of wars as people with their hidden motives play are lies on internet the games they play to twist our lives with anger do they try to build the soldiers of tomorrows fight I read our human history of grief our soldiers died from mustard gas and gore The battles fought both sides the rich and poor proletarians and bourgeoisie are the same the battle just takes on another name war is but the pathway to their power They play upon our fears to bread our thoughts creating then the pawns upon their boards play the different groups against each other the rich against the poor in battles fight the white against the dark is just the same your anger and your fears they justify they use you as the pawns in battles cry Lennon rose to power on this game The poverty and gossip in the people distrust and empty stomachs lead to hate the hatred of the people lead to war rebellion rose to fight against the Czar The people lacked the structure of the game the Bolsheviks and Lennon then stepped in the people lay as splatters on the ground their dreams forgotten in the rage for power Terror then became the calling card justified by need of force to change to take away the money of the rich yet people starved on floors of famine waste famine used to kill the thinking mind terror used to silence then the rage peasants fought the fight of battles lost the dreams of working men were also lost think about the reason for their words do not become a pawn to other men both rich and poor are needed in the end to create a better world needs loves growth
