Poem
In times like these I sit and wonder; of course, I tell myself I have all the time in the world to do it. What happen? Why did it happen? Where did it happen? How can we stop it? Back when, when we had it so good, and we took everything for granted that what we had been just not enough. People travel back and forth from one country to the next; no big deal, but what were they bring back? Who had stowed away in their luggage, or on themselves? Then, one day, so very quickly, our world turn upside down. We didn’t know what was happening. So many were getting ill, some were dying, of whatever you want to call it, a plaque, virus, flu, pneumonia, whatever it is, it’s an outbreak hiding in all these symptoms. Our earth has come to a standstill. We've had to abstain from our normal lives and habits, and self-quarantine. But, because of these factors our quality of air has improved, our waters have become clearer. We've even gotten closer with our families, with those that are quarantine together, others by phone or through video chat with those that are far away. For some of us; well, the elderly by themselves, or in rest homes have become pretty lonely. While you still have the danger out in the world, you have and increase in stress and anxiety especially with existing mental health problems. When the earth comes back to normal, and they find a cure, will we keep these changes for a healthier world or go back to those same old habits? infectious virus unwanted isolation, chaos and madness For myself, it's been a very lonely journey. It's a period of my life I thought I'd gotten over grieving. 5/5/2020
