Poem

We worship God* scripturally based on His plan
Being His creation in His foreknowledge before the world began
Verily belonging to His royal, peculiar clan
And bearing His glorious name in the best way we can.

We worship God according to His design
Being His children with imparted nature that’s divine
Verily fulfilling tasks He did assign
And doing His will, never to resign.

We worship God anchored by His Word that’s perfect
Being His cleansed people He saved from sin’s eternal defect
Verily walking along His path, surely direct
And following His leading through His Word we can’t reject.
			
We worship God while enjoying His fellowship
Being His chosen to delight in His workmanship
Verily seeking His favour on the altar of prayer-partnership
And becoming fruitful along faithful stewardship.
 
We worship God in our personal devotion daily
Being His cared-for saints imputed with Christ’s righteousness truly
Verily persevering to be holy by His power sincerely
And walking humbly in the Spirit earnestly.

We worship God with heart of thankful appreciation
Being His called believers purged from the miry clay of corruption
Verily fulfilling His entrusted ministry-function
And shining as vessels of honour for His exaltation.

We worship God, praising Him for His goodness
Being His claimants of His promised blessing-bountifulness
Verily serving Him well against selfishness
And glorifying His name with joyfulness marked by obedient willingness.

*John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
