Poem
It seems to be a modern sin, the things folks buy into these days, thinking they can alter the world by wanting it to be some way. As if they’re a great deity and can alter things on a whim, but the more I think about it, the more I think their futures grim, I recall a thought I once read, and I’m passing it on to you: Do not believe in something because you want it to be true. I see it in all the ‘victims’ who blame their failings on their shade, they find a man who’s pale of skin, make him the scapegoat for their rage. Yet that man, until this moment, was unaware that they did exist, he’s not spoken a word to them, but with their ranting they persist. They know they’d have to see their flaws if they couldn’t blame it on hue, they believe people are racist because they want it to be true. I see it in the femenists who claim that they are all oppressed, that men are all closet monsters, to be punished, as a redress. But girls aren’t drafted, asked to die, they’re believed without evidence, if they hit us we go to jail, their rhetoric doesn’t make much sense. They say they want equality, but that’s way back the rear-view, I think they claim men are a threat because they want it to be true. I see it in those people who think somehow that they can change sex, claiming that the mind and body can function in a disconnect. But the pull of the chromosones is not something we should deny, the hormones some take to block in may in the future make them die. By cancer or a mental break, the survivors will number few, they ignore evolution’s plan since they don’t want it to be true. I see it in those lost women who choose to murder their unborn, thinking their own convenience must outweigh a life that they won’t mourn. They ignore that the child has unique and human DNA, it is not mother or father, and has a right to its own way. Then they all wonder years later why they’re messed up and confused, they thought that murder was all right because they wanted it to be true. Whatever the outcome may be I think the sickness is the same, we think we’re more then what we are, it makes us arrogant and vein. But reality cares not for us, and human nature doesn’t change, we leave ourselves vulnerable, it’s hubris that we should contain. Knowing our limits, and our world, will drop the risk of getting screwed, nelieve in the world as it is, and not what you want to be true.
