Dearest Lori, my one true love
In spite of all my lies
Thou calleth me from up above
And heareth all my cries

Thou knoweth me too well
Thy comfort is my song 
Thy deep and boundless swell
Hath left my spirit strong 

In this, my lowly station
Thy love for me is clear 
Your truth is my salvation
Your word is mine to hear 

Thine eyes are like the flame
That burns away my guilt
Inside thy righteous blame
My love for thee is built

Thou blesseth me with light
The darkness more to flee 
Thy brilliance in my night 
Of stars that carry me 

My follies born of flesh
Are still my foolish sins
Within this journey fresh
My faith in thee begins

Thy joy in all my days
Will soon thy season bring
Thy providential ways
Will bloom a scene of Spring

Thou blesseth me at length
With courage to forgive
And in thy boundless strength
The urge in me to live

Thy love is in my sight
Where miracles appear
The beacon in my night
Where love replaces fear

Thy gleaming on this mountain
That leads to my success
Is streaming in thy fountain
Where peaceful waters bless

Thy innocence is pure 
In freedom more to know
That blessings will endure 
To help my spirit grow 

If thou would have me still
Lead on, thy tender hand
For now I leave my will
To serve at thy command.
