Poem
As life is in chaos and the times are stressed here are four Sonnets of the Sea to allow your mind and soul to escape...May peace and blessings come to all in these the times we find ourselves One With the Sea Alone on the seashore often I roam When night's horizon glows a velvet red Where peace is found in the waves soft foam And visions begin to play in my head I walk to weathered music's feathered waves As they thin on the sand, pull away To erase my steps to vanishing graves The sea will remain unchanged when I leave As it captures the tossed old restless sand It cares not for me, nor will ever grieve When my numbered days bury me with land To be one with the sea where I am small Feel the rhythm of the waves, hear its call Sea Shell To find myself hollow in the vast sea And float endlessly in its currents strong Swept up and down in the vastness I see Lost in the ebb and flow while dragged along To land onshore, be broken asunder Another lost shell in a sea of sand Beneath a sky of colors, I wonder If I would be saved by a passing hand Tossed and tumbled under each coming wave To sense the end of my days are now clear A wish, silent eyes may find me to save A grip from a gentle child's hand so near I find that I am now able to tell This story, when a child's hand saved this shell Reflections at the Sea Gentle winds caress my wrinkled old skin As I slowly sink in sea's softest sand Seabirds gliding flight I see once again Beyond gray contours where the sea touch land Soft silhouettes float as birds claim their space And I silently stare upon this view I find a warmer edge as eyes embrace To know as you, I am just passing through A moment cherished to what may become To wonder if my place in life's decree To hear the music of the waves soft strum Like those souls who stood here long before me As beautiful colors float in my mind To hope the next old soul reflects in kind Bird Shadows Across the warm pebbled shore, seabirds glide To splay moving shadows of dark on sand And fill my eyes under a sky so wide As I lay beneath its long endless band To feel life's spirit wondrous restful pause Fill the soul with the peace of mind that's bound From all the moments of perpetual cause To hear whispered sighs from my breathing sound As I lay still in rhythms with the waves Unearth reasons from my life I relive To release tension, my mind always saves And lighten the burdens of days I live To reach a depth where dark and light converge And touch bird shadows, with my eyes they merge be safe...peace and blessings to all 4/5/20
