Poem
Bread and butter on the plate It is what everyone hates Bread and butter on the plate Someone is searching for a date As morning comes alive He began to search for his wife He passes through the market place With a bag on his back bending down and Spinning around with a terrible frown I wonder what he is thinking and how much Money he is spending he picked up Fruits and vegetable and white yam Early morning market has fresh food Early morning shopping is for the ole dude Meaniness in his eyes and rudness on his face He packed his bag with all the energy he had Morning breaks his pocket with the higglers profit The bread and butter is rolling the dice and They are making a big sacrifice The bread and butter mind has caused people To loose their mind, the bread and butter mind Has resulted in many fights , bread and butter fuss In their sleep has caused many people to Compete, bread and butter in elections, Bread and butter during disaster, and in the middle of the corona bread and butter was on the rush The people clear the shelves and one man buy too much, it was more than enough to serve a thousand at a ten days conference The stages are rising up and many people are in a mad rush to stock up all that they can get before they take in the final breath, The rum, brandy and whisky is selling too The beer the malts are jumping off the shelves And just about everyone in town, has a bag that is moving round buying bread and butter wherever it found. The traffic is moving up and down the town With a horn like bell making noise around the town The dogs are roaming around the street Fending for themselves with a new beat And the mad men are sarching the garbage too, looking around for their bread, And what about me? I still have no comfortable place to lay my head I have not been shopping for bread and butter But I have been praying a serious prayer The day is winding down and business in the town Has finally rebound, people still have money to spear For the things that are so dear. The hands on the mouth The pocket to the throat The food is the only thing that will always win Here I am thinking about something that is very deep While the people are parading up and down the street I have no bread and butter on my mind But I am looking for something that is divine While the market man is hopping around with bread and butter all over his crown. Bread and butter mind Bread and butter s
