Dare We Oppose Darkness And Its Long Dagger Clawed Hands I will not abandon my honor, life's sweet glee nor in sad blindness dwell under that wicked tree at what costs can ancient soul embrace truth and bear weight of giving of self and daring still to care? I will not walk with you, nor bow to your delight. I shall not talk to you, or taste your dreaded night. I will not dance to tunes, played horridly dark nor beg tender feet to race, leaving blackened marks or seek approval of egregious arrogance deceit born and devoid of Life, Light and Romance? I will not walk with you, nor bow to your delight. I shall not talk to you, or taste your dreaded night. I will not speak, pen words your vanity demands nor prey on such innocence with dagger clawed hands what lunacy to parade down such evil path risk gaining, divinity's true and righteous wrath? I will not walk with you, nor bow to your delight. I shall not talk to you, or taste your dreaded night. Carry your burden. Weight of sin shall be your plight. Robert J. Lindley, 3-16-2020 Rhyme, ( Questioning Honor And The Kindness That One Oft Sees Denied ) written these last three days. Felt such needed saying.. Note: This darkened and evil world demands we bow to its savage and wicked decrees. With its promising lies and illusions that so many are so adapt at replicating. Yet if one seeks Light and Truth, that Shield prevents such a grave misstep. By opening heart's truth, its kindness and gifting much clearer eyes to see... Seems with this new threat, the world has gone a bit mad. Certainly, one should seek truth amidst this emerging havoc, and dare to question authority..... As authority always seeks to increase its power to enslave us even deeper to its will. Have a bit of faith people, God casts Light to guide those that seek more than just thier own selfish mortal whims, wishes and greeds. RJL
