Poem
With family, my heart overflows There with you, you want to go home Home, home Bring me back to that place That place that was full of love Laughter and faith Family time, a beautiful thing But all I hear from you now is When your phone rings Everyone wants your attention They're begging help me please But what you don't realize Is I've been on my knees, everyday In this house, in this space Wishing that you would just look me in my face Look into the eyes that miss you most See the person who wants to hold you close The one who trusts you with her heart But she's falling apart while you're creating your art She's a masterpiece stitched together Take a look and you might remember But without your affection she's starting to weather Open your eyes She's starting to hurt and turn bitter All she needs is a hug or a kiss To not feel like her love is a burden to dismiss And she needs a little of your time That seems so scattered yet all she wants Is just one moment To look at you and Not feel so left behind Living in 29' But couldn't feel further apart She doesn't know what to say She doesn't know how to Get you to show You still love her now Bloody knees Universe take me please Back to that place, of feeling like I'm at home My soul, take him back to me so I can feel Like I'm not fighting this battle alone He's distracted and times flying by He's missing so much, most nights I cry And hide it, to cover up for him and the kids I sweep my feelings under the rug once again I want him to wake up, he needs to be shown that Me and the kids can't feel that love When the lights are on But nobody's home Take me back to that place When our house felt like home Ghost Where are my green eyes? The one's that left me mesmerized The man in front of me I don't recognize Take me back, take me back I'm living in memories That are fading fast, into black Home, home Where I long to feel loved You can't see me, you can't see! I'm in reality All that you've become.. Is all that I've lost I'm pitifully retracing thoughts You are my soulmate I loved you the most Now all I see Looking past me, not actually listening Is a ghost Of who you were And what we had I'd give anything Take me back...
