Lenten Fry day is a nice day for fish 
Witch was Peter’s holiest wish 
They came from all around 
When they heard that faith full sound 
Into the net they swam without worry or a frown  

During this biblical turf war battle 
In the desert without any cattle 
Peter made a nice dime 
Using a fishing pole and a good line 

This was the almighty’s will 
Giving Peter this type of skill
Using bait and rod 
The underwater cuisine was a message from God  
Back on land 
In the region filled with heat and sand 
The tension continued to worsen 
And Peter still made a fishing fortune 

It was the Romans who were threaten 
Thinking this small group of gypsies were out to get them 
Success for those who thought they were blessed 
Might have been the reason the Romans decided to go through with the arrest.
As we celebrate lent 
Without repent that only breeds individuals to resent 
Let us remember those few who stood tall 
When the Romans out of control egos made the deadly call 
Making our pioneer leaders to state our Messiah took the fall 
Due to the Romans power play law 
Every Friday during this spiritual time 
When you gather with the need to dine 
Make a sacrifice of that tenderloin that has a price 
And enjoy the seafood 
That was God’s instrument and tool 
Saturday hour will come 
And it will be all right to grill the steak rare or well done 
But if you take one day to say no to the meat 
Then allow Saint Pete to offer the treat 
That delectable T Bone spending Saturday Night on your dish 
Will be as wonderful as that Lenten Fry day fish
