In one hand sits tranquility
while the others still a fist
You would think it would be easier
choosing that instead of this
With peace so ever calming
And the fist always a fight
Both remain the same
Be it dawn, or late at night
When peace is fully present
The wolves move in to feed
The moment that you close your eyes
Is when you’re sure to bleed
This is why, I won’t let go
It’s why my hand won’t open up
I’ll never know if for someone else
I’ll need to bring it out
To fight for those who cannot
When they’re circled by those wolves
They prey on those more passive
They target them in droves
I’ll stand all night to fight them
I’ll rest when they are gone
May you sleep all night regardless
Not knowing how close they roam
