Poem
My heart is bleeding but no blood is dripping My spirit is crying but no tears are flowing The trees are moving but the wind is not blowing A low feeling came over today that led my spirit astray It rocked my emotion and caused some internal commotions No guns or bullets were firing outside But a big war was raging on the inside It is not the war you hear when The oil tanker is riding close by your side It is the love you feel when it’s been deprived It is love that burns from body to crown And no one knows where you will be bound No water can cool it, no extinguisher can put it out And only one person knows what this turmoil is all about It is a longing that is rare; it is a longing that everyone fears I am not supposed to feel emotions And I am not supposed to cry, so no one can quite the longing that is burning inside Love begat love and hate begat hate You must have breakfast before it is too late When your spirit is soaring above the gate A multitude of clowns are riding around the town But there is still nothing plausible to be found I thought about everything for a while And sometimes it deepens the courage inside When my spirit is still and I feel the thrill I see a glimpse of the glow that is a part of this long winding show And the evening with its speeding light is lingering gingerly by my side, And the desires that you feel when Your spirit is deeply in need It’s the kind of feelings that you get When heaven is riding on earth And you are living the realistic part of you. It is that part of you that will convict you all the way through And when the power is riding above you It will stand up and walks rounds around you And tell you the real truth about you The night is thundering upon me And the valentine’s colors are sparkling around me White and red, black and white and pure white Are threading around in the plaza and around the town While London is walking in its leather gown And Paris is looking at me with a frown I want to be a part of it but something keeps pulling me away from it The evening with all its organized events Is having a sabbatical around the bend It is cognizant of the energy that is circulating inside And it is deepening the conscious on both sides You are trying to reach out to somebody but no one is there It is the way you feel when heaven is in despair And the lost sheep is on a long journey towards its home And my soul is buried on high seat on the throne I feel, I love, I pardon and I cry So don’t be too shy, when you see the glow You will know that it is time to go. The glow is a part of the show.
