WHY I LOVE NEGRO  SPIRITUALS   

I know why we sang those songs;
Why I LOVE NEGRO Spirituals-
I have a spiritual 
connection to
those songs we sang.
We sang out messages to the universe,
and to each other, of how tired we were.
Maybe this God would save us if
We Told Him Our Troubles;
We sang those songs to relieve
our weary souls, to release Stress.
Keeping a beat to our chopping,
while standing...

Sun up till sundown;
To get rest, and find
comfort in our songs;
There's no shoes on my feet
( SING I GOT SHOES).
I can't read and I can't write.
But when I get to heaven
I gonna put in my shoes...
cause all god's children got shoes.
One day goes into the other no rest for the weary
I cannot tell the time, but I know the hour is late.
It's black again but I know he watches me...because

{SING} 
" His Eye Is On The Sparrow"...

I wonder if he watches mastah rape me.
I wonder if his God is real to him,
cause he's so real to me (SINGING)
" HE'S SO REAL TO ME "!
He has to be real because his
business is saving wretches like me.
I ‘ve got to have faith"
they say in order for
him to save me.

Then I’ll be in heaven
and see him...
(singing) FACE to FACE.
If I say Yes, I will be blessed.
I say yes Lord I forgive them,
as I turn my other cheek.
I will understand it
(singing By and by) Better By and By...
So yes, I will Obey, Cause When I get to heaven
on that other shore, I will understand it better
(in the Sweet by and by}

 and I will fly away...

One day soon I will get on board that train
(sing back up train) ...
I got my ticket and I want to get on board...
So, back up train and let me ride ...

When I rise from my dark
corner without sleep it is dark,
I leave the fields in the dark, I start
again, in the dark, never resting, never-ending.
I look at the sky to tell the time it’s a brand new
day, same day again...I cannot read ...
so, you give me good news,
of your secondhand
"Savior"
you say he will save me...

He never comes, my days are
like one, never-mind the setting sun.
My work is never done.
I will be happy one day. (SING).
" I shall fly away"...Oh I'll FLY
Away when the morning comes;

One glad morning when this long
day has ended, I'll Fly away.
Yes, if death be my only path...
I shall take flight..."
