Poem

To whom it may concern,

I am nobody special.
Just a traveler on a road of uncertainty,
the road of life.
As I have made this journey, 
I have done the right thing,
and I have done the wrong.
I am willing to take responsibility for both.
Initially, the good years of my life
outweighed the bad.
Sadly I now find the bad increasing in number,
to overshadow the good.
I believed that people and their intentions were basically good.
I believed in truth, honesty, and I believed in love.
My beliefs gave me faith in myself.
Since then, I have seen goodness disappear,
watched love quickly die,
and faith in myself, faded away.
They are now found in a cast off book
of fairy tails.
I foolishly lived my life as me. 
But there were demands for me to be somebody else.
The end result was the same.
I have listened when I should have spoken.
I have spoken,but only silence was heard.
I have tried to make changes many times,
but given up even more.
As all of us, I will see this journey through.
It will be as it will be.
If one would be interested in reading this.
and it would strike a chord.
Then, it truly was worth my while.
