Poem
People are wandering around the town With their heads pointing to the clouds People are wandering about the town Looking like fearful clowns Nasty men with hard backs Are walking about the park Harassing the women in the boiling sun They have no shame, they have no claim They are looking for someone to blame Today they are sorry, tomorrow they apologize And they keep playing the game as if they are bad No one knows how to deal with them Unless they resides in heaven The police come and warn them But they continue to show disdain for them The preacher woman is walking about the street Shouting out something that is very deep She too is trying a thing but she is full of sin I try to find some form of consolation within But nothing can console this woeful feeling that is weighing me down, and keep tossing me about The environment is just not right And I am trying so hard to put up a fight To get my spirit and soul in order Oh how my heart is weeping This place is giving me a chilling feeling I want to leave this place before it is too late And I am waiting patiently for heaven to break down this horrible gate The clock is ticking and I am waiting Here I am sitting in the park, with cracked earth crust and dry ground The rain has fell so many times But the dryness is still welled up inside The dried out fountain with dirt growing inside Stands isolated in the middle of the park The dirt is growing around the grill But a new coat of paint could cover the shame The garden palm trees are standing still with decorative fruit hanging from their limb the roots need molding the bows need trimming And the entire rundown park needs an urgent make over The make shift vendor kitchen tents are squatting around the park And the kitchen heat has ruined the garden palm leaves They looked withered, battered and tattered There is no grass or flowers to mystify my painful hours Everything is disorganized and beauty comes with a price I just can’t imagine how the center of the city Is so haphazard and filthy people would love to hang out here But it is really not a good place to roam about The brown cracked earth is staring at you And the kitchen vendor add more woe to the city decor Heavy smoke from the jerk pan filtering in the streets And the aroma from the seasoned meat saturate the air You can get a box lunch if you have some money to spare Broken leaves hanging down from the root and everything is beaten down to the ground, people are loitering around But the sun is going down Young men and women are wandering about the town in fashionable clothes and shoes The Gods have temporally relent And the people are getting ready to bend One day of suffering has passed And the people are ready for a new start I am pack and ready to go Because I don’t want to be part of this terrible show I am pack and ready to go But I am not sure which way to go Canada, London or South East Asia I am still trying to figure it out without a doubt The east the west the north or the south I don’t know but the clouds will take me all around My heart is heavy and my spirit is sad I must take my leave to make my spirit glad A thousand years have come and gone With legend of old dog barking at the door The withering body of world war two artifacts Is lingering about on the school floor And keeps knocking from door to door I am pleased with the outcome But I am displeased with myself because I am very hard to bend I am ready to go so wish me good luck before I go
