The earth,
the sky,
the sea--we
are joined
at the hip (the slosh
and the solid of me)
the sea, my tides of
feelings--the flow of
my temperament; I live
the daily currents...warmth
of my surface
and the cool, dark depths
where I am a mystery
both ancient and present

deeper and nearer the core
I was born of fire--
reformed again of fire;
transformed again and 
again by fire

there is nothing of me
that does not burn
a degree

I am Celsius
and Fahrenheit

I am son of God
and creator of
my god--
all divinity within me
and outside of me
yet i am....
