Poem
The moment is finally here When we have something to share And I can feel a sudden tension flowing in the air The evening is dry and long with its arrow And they are getting ready for the song The patrol police is walking around with long guns Looking for the thieves all over the street The birds are flying across the grey clouds And the evening is crying out very loud They are moving around in a unifying motion And they are flying silently to the west A long line of them just flew over my head What on earth is going on ? Maybe they are going to bury the dead The traffic is rolling in and the night is very dim Big trucks, fire trucks, bread vans and police vans Driving up and down the frantic street The weather has tightens its belt and And grey clouds suddenly change to night The town is just feeling the new year's weight And many things are out of date I dig deep to search for something inside But all I felt was complete emptiness I tried to reach out for the Gods but they too are feeling sad And for that split moment My body starts feeling hot and I knew That heaven is watching my back I looked on the people’s face And I could see a touch of humility flowing in But some faces void of expression No quarreling, no complaining They are just walking They seem to be going somewhere But they are not going anywhere They are walking straight into their destiny, They don’t know the next move And some of them look quite confuse Oh, I forget it is Friday And the week is almost done And the new year is on the run I was hoping to have some fun But one year is spilling into another And there is no direct order The story has just come alive And the cars are lining up on Kings Street They are coming from the East With eyes positioned on the beast It is Friday and the night is on the run Catch it before it slips away from you.
