The Goal Post

In the days that follow, 
Christmas...
We need to consider, all that has passed us by. 
The year has moved with speed. 
Faster than the one before. 
Harder in some ways, 
better in others. 

Time to consider, 
your last chance to;
say hello to someone new, 
say goodbye to someone old, 
ask for help, 
give some one a hand, 
think outside the box, 
in time to get home to dinner,
and basically remember...
there are only a handful of days, 
a few less hours and almost no minutes left, 
until there is no "more" of this year, 
only less. 

There will be a new year, 
with new things to do. 
Special stuff to get done, 
demands...
and strains,
that were not present before, 
but must take precedence now. 

Call your mother, 
your friend, 
your brother, 
his boss. 
Do something crazy, 
don't be at a loss. 

Bake a cake, 
the whole world is at stake, 
they will drop the ball, 
and call, 
the end of 20.., 
and a beginning of
20..!
