THE PASSING OF YOUR TIME

Time is of the essence 
As many folks would say
But what about the time 
That has already passed away

Did you use your time wisely
 Or did you let it go astray
Then find yourself wishing
 You could choose to change a day

What about the future time
That lies ahead to one and all
Will you make it be any different 
Than the year that's about to fall

Make your time an asset 
 If you make a plan at all 
Or it can be disastrous
 And the days just seem to crawl

But if you seek to take a look 
Beyond your selfish wall
You can make a difference
When problems come to call

So my advice to you my friend
Is to demolish that selfish wall
And see how quickly time has passed
And the days no longer crawl
