The happy birth mass for Christ’s sake season is here
We amass ourselves in the cold with our crowns
Bestowed on us by the holy birth of Jesus Christ
We celebrate the gift God gave for our sake
For His gift of immortality, God gave Christ for our eternal life

The weather is cold everywhere
Pointing to the chills everywhere	
Over here, the dry wind blows
Air filled with dry dusty hot chilled wind blows
Hardening the ankles and lips to crack
While in the night cold swallows the heat from the track
By the fireside storytelling and roasting of ‘brodidwo’ (plantain) becomes a necessity
The season calls to unite us around the fire and the Christmas tree
While the fire gives use warmth, we celebrate the bread of life’s birth

The woolen jackets with red and white fur becomes a necessity
Not just for the sake of their decorative beauty
The season calls to unite us around the chimney and the Christmas tree
While the fire and jacket give warmth, we celebrate the bread of life’s birth
