You see the one you’ve been looking for,
they’re here but they seem so far out of reach,
They are different than your family had hoped,
they break you down, sucking hope like a leech,

Why can’t they understand your heart,
why can’t they understand how you feel,
you tell them this is who you love,
but they reject you… it doesn’t seem real,

Why Should It Matter?!

You feel uncomfortable in your own skin 
but your parents don’t seem to care
You wish to be who you are, 
you change your apparel and hair,

You are beautiful no matter what, 
always be who you are! 
Do whatever you feel is right, 
because you are a dazzling star!
