Poem
Out of the golden gates, there rode mounted knights of the king's guard, To the left flank and the right flank they formed ranks, the infantry as the centre, The infantry still forming, shining no more were they, midnight sun was being cloaked by darkness, Once formed they started forward, would this be their last march. Now, the survivors of this first battle came forth, their honour dictated that this be so, from the golden gates they did march, they would be the third defensive wall, once more they did form, brave men, It didn't take long for them to form rank, these brave souls walked onto the field. The Dark Man and the Warrior Queen, in fury, now, charging across the plain, the red follow closely behind, all faces set in stone, Charging straight and true, they charged the oncoming horde, There was no fear in the heart, their honour did always dawn. Now, the formation does change slightly, five spearheads to the fore, instead of three, Thirty in the last line, one man at the tip, Five spearheads racing on, the Dark Man at the tip of his spearhead, He was the tip of the middle spearhead, the third of the five. They changed into these formations with such ease, while the charge did go on, the enemy closing the distance, larger and more ferocious they became, these Arlaghs from the world of night. Behind the spearheads, a rectangular formation, 125 souls wise by 15 souls deep, a stone block, behind this formation, another three spearhead formations these formations, free, to roam the battlefield as needed. Infantry of the kings guard were next, 500 souls, in formations of 100 each, they marched, two rectangles of 100, followed by another two, then followed by one, the survivors of the first battle, they came in one formation, now, they did pick up the pace, their charge now begun, following the spearhead, to meet their glory. The combatants grew closer together, now, they were ready for the thunder, the crash would soon come, then skill and fate would sing, from the mighty walls, women and children looking on, hope they did, that this force would not know defeat. They watch the charge, their hearts afire, they cheer on their own, once more, what shall be, shall be, upon this emerald green, once again it would soon wear bloody raiment, the God's of war, they now lead forth their minions.
