Poem
The water mark is still evident on the wall You can still see where the rain had fall The stain must have been there for many years And every time it reappears Sending chills into my ears It embraces an interesting story that will lead you all the way to glory No amount of scrubbing can remove it, And wiping and spraying cannot undo it A fresh coat of paint may cover the stain But all your effort will be in vain Lipstick painted on thick lips, Has left a mark on his collar And the truth is sealed up in a polished dish I opened my sanctuary to you And sacrificed my family for you Yet you have proven to be untrue Every part of the journey You have stood in my way Even when I had nothing to say You have forced me through the door When all I want was to feel secured Is this your way of caring for sheep? My message to you is very deep The journey is coming to an end so be prepared to bend Here I am under the tree reminiscing the naked reality The breeze is blowing cool air on me And the trees are dancing around me I can’t forget the day when you stood on the podium Giving a speech that rock everyone off their feet The tone was incorrect, the rhythm was wrong And your grouchy voice sound like a sing along They did cheer not because it was good, They cheered because it was outrageous and awful Never in the history of a living man did anyone create So much confusion all over the land. The heaven sighed over you And the mountain ran behind you I can remember the days when the stakes were high And wisdom was flying high in the sky The Dons sat down and piece it together And when they were done, You could not have had something better Then they would go into the tower and Have a big celebration with wine and whisky And mocked the educated and call them a blasted fool The visitors and guest came from afar To record every minute of it and listen to it all The moon is still, and it is shining from the hill The sky is pregnant with water And the clouds are getting darker There is water mark everywhere And the truth is shooting from the air Old moles are growing around the trees With strings attached to the base, I have done everything to help you But you have defied the rule, belittle my skirt And go about on a rampage digging up dirt My mornings are blessed with sorrows And my evenings are filled with shame I raised my eyebrow at the slightest row And defend you with a pigeon bow The dogs understood it and the cats believed it Happy are those stood strong awaiting the victory song I have been here before, and I have smelt the same stench And I have witnessed the same aroma coming from the bench But I have girted my waist, and I have sampled the taste And the evidence is dancing all over my face Oh what courage for a man to face Oh what courage for a man to embrace The world is thine but it is also mine The world is thin but heavens will greet you with a grin You cannot erase the stain from the wall. Destiny will speak of it all.
