Stolen Statues

The glory of yesterday, 
taken down and destroyed. 
Pummeled into dust,
by those that stole their rights, 
to be where they are. 
They promised good things, 
and took away all that 
meant anything. 
They replaced our heroes
with shadows, 
and demanded,
more from us. 

Change your religion, 
remove your way of life. 
Take down all that you care for, 
and embrace all that we hate, about you, 
and your life, as the truth of our life here…
is now the replacement demanded. 

Refusal to integrate, to be part and assimilate, 
is sufficient to change the face of asylum. 
Invasion is the pretext, 
the pretense and the begging…
of war. 

Peace, freedom and prosperity, 
readily at hand in the country before you. 
Why… why… 

You ran from all that was, 
to all that is, 
to make it 
the same? 
Stupidity is not born, 
it is taught. 
Everthing worth learning 
can be learned with an open heart. 
War, has no heart at all.
