Poem

I am waiting.
For what, I do not know.
A meaning, a sign.
Waiting for a bell to chime.
I am waiting for a message, clear.
I am waiting to discover why I am here.

Does life have purpose?
Is life happenstance?
Will we ever know the answer?
Does it even matter?
Any given moment your life could shatter
We need to appreciate every moment.

So I am waiting.
For what, I do not know.
I have been on a journey.
So many changes, so many new passions.
Fitness, classical music, going meat-free
I’m always re-inventing me.

Poetry is my latest passion.
Is poetry always in fashion?
It makes me think more than before.
About my life and my purpose.
I seem to discover new things about myself.
Who knows what else is on my shelf?

So, I am waiting.
To discover what’s next for me,
As I go on my life journey.
Poetry will allow me to share,
Thoughts on things about which I really care
And I’ll get to share my thoughts on this site,
With people who also question the meaning of life.
