Poem
Please unchain me from this false utopia This hopeful thinking is a hopeless flaw Please forgive the wrongs I inflicted upon you This tainted sorrow is infecting all of me too Grieving for the death of yesterday Take a breath and you'll feel me today Heaving a sigh of relief Thankful that this grief… Has vanished from my sight I'm sorry I didn't do you right Before the afternoon, Take a look into the looking glass of my mind Leaving so soon? You're clearly blind because you couldn't find me, so I'm close to left behind Discover me in the ocean of squalid and iridescent emotion Recover from the horrendous heartache and abuse inside Believe it or not, you're strong and will always be my true devotion Receive the attitude of gratitude and swallow your pride I'm terribly sorry for the tear-jerking tension and lament I made you feel deep down...you've been weighed down… I'm overwhelmed with fear and remorse - I cry like an infant I made you spiral down into darkness, so let me lift up your frown To make it up to you...you know I do... For the awful things I put you through Please unchain me from this false utopia, So I can unchain you from your vain dystopia High hopes will rescue us from guiltiness High hopes will rescue us from loneliness High hopes will rescue us from our distress High hopes will do us good in the long run more or less Please forgive me for the arguments I started Please forgive me for the fights that departed Both of us and we're separated from each other Maybe it's for the better that we aren't together Grieving for the death of precious today I'm not looking forward to nightly dismay Perfect me with Your hands of precision I rely on You, for You inspired me to make the right decision - To desert the despair and desires of evil wickedness, So I can be made whole again with pure happiness Don't forget to discard vanity Don't let your heart be brought low any longer Don't forget to discard vanity Don't depart from my warm arms, for I'm your comforter I don't mean to injure… I want to try to endure… I want to try to find a cure To your scars and blemishes that mirror madness and disdain Shine like stars and illuminate the clouds, so they fall down like rain God's love towards you is pure... So, get up and let us both endure The hardships of this life year by year The past and its pain won't leave me be So, do me a favor and please discard vanity
