Dear Lord, lead me in the right paths
Where love and faith are so alive
Giving me the ability to finally give back
A small portion of all that you’ve given me

Dear Lord, guide me along life’s road
Where goodness and kindness fulfill
All the chances for giving unconditionally
Of the love you’ve sent on wings of serenity

Dear Lord, help me to grow in the spirit
To reach other hearts with your meekness
And turn someone else toward your love
With compassion that is sent down from above

Dear Lord, teach me the right way to live
Fearing the wrong choices and worst sins
Expecting your words to reach deep within
And fill my heart and soul with your purity

Dear Lord, send me the answers to my prayers
The ones where I ask you to fill me with sincerity
And a generous spirit that is able to give freely
To answer the needs of those who you’ve sent me

Dear Lord, whisper sweet inspiration to my heart
Giving me the ability to understand your words
And give more freely of all you have encouraged
Hope, faith and love that comes from all that’s Holy

Dear Lord, accept me when I can’t accept myself
Show me the right way to go when I try turning back
So that I move on and grow in the way you intend
With a sense of joy that enlightens my heart within

Dear Lord, ensure me that my faith will sustain me
And that while I’m living your love will stay inside me
Giving to the ones who are needy and poor in spirit
With the ultimate purpose of sharing what you’ve given

Dear Lord, enlighten me when I feel so lost in the dark
Share your deep wisdom when I’m needing your strength
Be a guide to me when I can’t find my way past the pain
And let me live my life for you, forever living your way
