Poem
So it is I am here So it is I am sitting on the chair So it is I am trying to absorb some fresh air It is Sunday evening and my heart is melting It is Sunday evening and my spirit is aching. The big bright full moon is rolling above me The big bright full moon is dodging underneath the rain clouds shouting with a strange voice that is very loud I think I have heard that voice in the distance before Crying out for more and beckoning me to visit the sea shore But I have no one to take me; I have no one to embrace me The evening is cluttered with uncertainty and civil unrest is burning in the furnace. I want you to come and do your best Despite what the others think, I am sure that you have everything. It is Sunday evening and the music is loud, I cannot concentrate I cannot meditate, and I am struggling to write this verse The man with the shop on the corner is playing his music loud And other one just across the hill is chiming in with a hymn The clouds are shifting from sky to sky, with a message for you to come by. I can’t remember the day when my spirit was completely at ease, and I don’t have to think about the next day and other day and the other next day It has always been like this, love, chaos and the moonlight bliss. Hearts longing for hearts, souls waiting for souls And my spirit wants more. If it was winter I would dive underneath the shadows If it was Spring I would compose a dance with him, But the distant sun keeps staring at me sapping my stored up energy. And the moon is moving about, spilling its light and filtering it at the passersby. It has traveled where mankind has never envisioned. Behold the heavenly pattern and somewhere above the moving sky with all the raptured souls lingering by, they are taking me to another high. I care not for the pain I feel I am longing for the elegance that awaits me in another dream, I am waiting for the next chapter to start when we will be together at last. The moon has traveled a distance with is penitent mood I see nothing more than the will in you to be true True to your emotions, true to your conscience true to the moment when when we reach the top of the mountain The mountain will stand in awe and the wind will answer with a hiss My heart is yearning for that final moment when you will Say the word and bring peace to my troubled soul. I have borne a piece of you when you were a part of me and I still cannot separate that part of you from the other side of me There is still work to be done, and I am traveling along And I hope that at midnight you can join me to sing the song We will dance under the moonlit sky And rivers and sea will finally agree, The ocean is big the boat is secure I will float on the ocean While big fish waits for me on the shore. It’s Sunday evening what is the matter with everyone?
