Poem

The Song of Silent Rage

The car was not empty. 
There were women, 
there were children,… small children.
None, could hurt anyone…as they were soft and tore like paper.
The screams can still be heard, if you stand beside the vehicle…and listen. 
You don’t even have to try hard. 
 
They, ugly men without conscience, lacking in moral and ethical empathy, 
prevailing their power to mutilate at will, clearly terrorists against all that is right. 
They did not care. Why should they?
The wailing fell on deaf ears, happy to see them burn.

They were not the first by far. 
They need to be the last, now. 

Kings in their on country…
Supported by fear among the ones they rule, by force. 
The president (small “p”) wants to hug them, 
He wants everyone to hug each other. 
He has been bought or at least paid for, there can be no other answer. 
The evil and corruption of a beautiful land, 
Tearing apart all that she had to give. 

Bullies and thugs, dogs of war against the powerless, the small and the weak.
So proud of yourself, vain indeed, showing off your parts to each other…all tiny.
No one to stand against them?
No one to stop them?
Feeding on the empire of drugs 
and the “need” to get high, to escape.

Time to call our families home. 
Time to change the way we do things in the world. 
Time to protect what is ours. 



Written for the family that was burned at the border... 
Prayers for their families here and there. 
God be with you all.
