Poem

Confessions of sins are good for my soul.
Why! Oh Why should I bare upon my shoulders
the burdens of all of my habitual sins?

When it is plain to even prodigal daughters such as me.
Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price on Mount Calvary.
By his strips, I  have been healed.
By the precious shed blood of Jesus,
Christ the Lamb of God,
my sins have been washed away.

I have been made as pure as freshly fallen white snow.
For if I ever had to bare the burdens of my 
own sins. I would have never know
complete pardon.  I would be
forever separated from heaven's portals.
Upon the demise of this mere mortal.

Why should I willfully continue going me own way?
Why should I follow the broad pathways
leading to destruction.
Instead of following the narrow pathway
leading to eternal life. 
Looking neither to the left side,
nor glancing towards the right.

I am standing on the promises of God, my Savior.
I am claiming his blood sacrifice,
and inheriting his free gift of eternal life.
Because the Son of God has set my
spirit and soul free, I have
become freeborn indeed.

Confessions of my sins is good for my immortal soul.
Someday I shall walk on streets of purest gold,
and gathering by the crystal sea,
around the throne of God Almighty.
It is my ultimate destiny.
And all of those whosoever will,
put their trust in the Son of Man.
