10/20/19 "Playing For Keeps" What the bleep is up with all the creeps And cheats It's time to release the beast off the leash And have a feast Sinking my teeth Into each, until they cease Left out to rot, not buried beneath The ground six feet deep In any minute it'll reek You're a piece And a thief Causing nothing but grief Capeesh? It truly is a dog eat dog world, full of deceit In the South, West, North and East Cycles that repeat Water starting to seep And pipes soon to leak Prices getting lowered or increased I didn't always need a receipt Quickly was able to sweep Them out their cleats Keep taking a seat Or get up and move your feet You're going to have to compete How else is the task getting complete? Never been a leech Messes cleaned with bleach This president, some people want to impeach Sheesh All these peeps obsessed with tweets Every time we meet Always looking sleek She's a peach Sexy and petite Around me she's sweet And a freak In between the sheets On the wall a wreath And nearby is a knife in a sheath Made another motif Turned over a new leaf Nearby a reef And beach I've been on losing and winning streaks I'm playing for keeps A globe with elephant and geese Working on an eloquent speech I listen to those that teach But not the ones that preach No matter if it's looking bleak Or if the terrain is steep I'll handle it with different techniques Monitoring patients and listening for a beep Helping to treat I'm not the wolf or a sheep I'm so unique Full of mystique Not just a geek People pay respect and listen when I speak Tired of living cheap Got off the porch and leaped Worked on getting strong, did no good remaining weak Set out to reach The top of the highest peaks No matter if it took years or weeks Accomplished another feat Nearby a field of wheat I want nothing to do with you, if you want to tweak Or squeak Areas that are neat And others with garbage in a heap Didn't make a peep Skillfully able to sneak In a house with floorboards that creak By being discrete By themselves or with a fleet If they want to go, then it'll be their retreat Unless they want to stick around and get beat Live right by the street Use to drive a jeep Occasonally the tires would screech For a time that was brief Benefits being reaped To say the very least I'm in too deep A continual struggle with sleep Still after what I seek By: Dalton Ogletree
