last night i looked up at the sky
and wondered if you heard me cry
i'm trying hard to confide
exactly what i feel inside
can you feel me, do you know
should i stay or should i go
will things change, will they evolve
so many problems i just can't solve
why is the truth so far away
and calls only come once a day
why cant i ever come first
i can't figure out what's worst
why do i always slip your mind
you forget about me time after time
i've tried expressing my feelings to you
but there's only so much that i can do
for the last time you made me cry
my heart can't stand another lie
why can't you decide what you want
before it tears my heart apart
why can't you once just think of me
and be the man i know you can be
why dont you ever stand by your word
it doesnt seem that absurd
to do the things you say you are
instead of distancing yourself so far
there's only so much that i can take
before my heart completely breaks
i didnt think i asked for much
to hear your voice, to feel your touch
was it just too much to ask
maybe too big of a task
because your hardly here, im here alone
always waiting by the phone
for a call that seems to never come
at times my whole body gets numb
but you dont seem to get it, its just not fair
all i want is for my man to be there
i keep thinking your going to change
but your always just a bit out of range
and though i love you with all my heart
day by day you push us apart
you always seem to make me wait
your always just a day too late
and you never have a reason why
doesn't seem like you even try
so if its what you want me to do
i'll finally say goodbye to you
and leave you alone once and for all
i wont write and i wont call
just know that this one thing is true
i really really did love you!
