Poem
The winds lifted me up And pushed me Towards there Where roads, four in all, Diverged! Upon each one of these Was written on a signboard Their destination! One was Love, One was Faith, One was Mundanity and one was Inexistence! Aimless and lost in a world Which belongs not to me Aimless and lost Fed up even, I already knew which one Of these I had to choose As, The skies and the power that Rule them Have already guided me upon my way! There was where Love sparkled, Brightly Upon its signboard There, where the mere thought Of it Melted the stony Queen That inhabited me! I chose to clip off my wings And to walk Towards where I am fated But, Dismayed was I To find a no entry sign there, Hidden by the leaves of a huge Maple tree Almost, as if, The sign was ashamed of itself Merely for being there! I swallowed my gulp Bit my lips Fought my tears And hid The shattering noise of my heart As it broke into pieces Which would never ever Be able to be assembled back together As, No one Has ever witnessed Typhoons' reformation after their Natural disintegration! So, I chose to cover my head with my veil And to kneel To pray, Asking the skies To be merciful towards me As I took the lead in my own fate! I walked towards there Where it was written Inexistence! The road there was murky and dark No winds blew there, No birds chirped No rain fell, no sun shined, No love felt No tears shed, No battles won or even lost, Why, There was nothing there! And there was where I chose to go Knowing that no more Was I to be tormented No more was I To even pretend Or to even try not to sin! There, Was bliss And there Was the end of my journey!
