Poem

I thought,. I'm going to sea on my blueberry boat!
Hoping to have fun and stay afloat
I took my blueberry boat out to sea
Filled with all my grown blueberries with me
Thinking, in my travels how I will survive
Eating healthy blueberries to stay alive

The waves were rolling and getting high
When, I saw another big boat going by
To my surprise, a strawberry boat, filled to the brim!
As we passed each other, my heart went out to him
I sailed onward in the blue, open sea
Eating my blueberries, as free as can be!

Across the water in peace but alone, 
Traveling where the sun has shone
When suddenly, the boat tipped with a hit
Coming from a huge whale spouting with spit!
Blueberries started flying all around
Bouncing, rolling, pound by pound !

I found myself under a pile half squashed
Stains everywhere, needing to be washed
As I stood up on my feet, suddenly I saw red
I realized strawberries were raining on me instead!
The man in the strawberry boat had returned
And, he hit the same huge whale, I learned

He laughed when he saw me covered in blue
But, couldn't see me blushing or my feelings too
Now, both of us had very little to eat
But it seemed not to matter, he was so sweet
This is when the wonderful  love story  began
In the middle of flying fruit, I met sweet Dan

He knew how to fish, was more prepared than me
Helping us survive our adventure on the sea!
Of course, this story has to end on a happy note
We lived happily ever after, then sailed often 
            - On our new multi-fruit boat! -
