Poem
Standing in the sunlight Shadows of past fatalities dance upon the walls Of a love and a life forgotten Seemingly meaningless to all And of the things in the past They are all of useless information To forgot and just move on Is such a high expectation For the past is unreal The pain; seeping into the skin Searching for a reason to march on And forget about what has been Scars cut through broken layers Reminders of helplessness and guilt Like tanks of toxic acid That have tipped over and spilled Draining the evil from within my body Spilling out of my veins Bleeding myself of the loneliness And of all life's unnecessary pains Cutting deep into my arms Watching the red waters flow Making. my breathing unsteady As my vision begins to go... Towards a light at the end of a tunnel But stumbling on a rock under my feet Falling onto jagged cement Making the open gashes even more deep The pieces of dirt that enter my wounds Are the infections draining me of life Working their way into my bloodstream From the numbness of my cold knife Shutting off the flow to my brain I have lost all of my feeling Slicing with a piece of broken glass Is now the only way I know of dealing Running out of room to cut I trace where I have already been Cutting in even deeper Into what use to be my skin Tears flood down my face But yet, I feel nothing at all I have grown to love this pain. I bring myself As my heart rate starts to fall I shove the glass down deep into my arm And when when I strike my vein The blood trickles down my arm But still I feel no pain Stains begin to form on my bed Red from all of my blood Searching for anything to push me back to how I was For purity as white as a dove But it's too late now Because I've lost all reason to hope And as my face turns white and pale I mumble "All for my love"
