Poem

I realize that the trust has been broken 
Basically by a selfish acted mine 
And I know you’re upset and angry 
At my deception and that everything just can’t be fine

And through all of the emotions you decide to stay 
At first trying your hardest to ignore the position I’ve put you in
But the feelings have caught you dead in your tracks
This was a fight you just couldn’t win

So instead of dealing with the problem
That I was so willing to heal with all my might
All of a sudden you block me out entirely
Something I had expected though I was trying to make it right

So I dealt with it and sucked it up
But days turn into weeks and weeks into months
Of this cold hearted routine that you had put on
But deep down its what you had become
 
I would apologize so sincerely
But you would roll you eyes and say I done heard it
To an extent I agreed with you
And I guess I agreed I deserved it

But nights now turn so cold and with sharp pains
I lie in my bed not acknowledging my TV
Just up for hours at a time 
Wondering why you just don’t go ahead and leave me  

Love is neglecting me and
For some reason it wont let me go on
Every time I tell it to go ahead and leave
It seems to want to apathetically hold on 

But I don’t need your unexpressed pity
And you feeling sorry for me
But I still have sorrow in my heart…
The heart that loves you unconditionally

But what do I do now 
Now that It has emotionally rejected me
I guess take a stand
Because love itself is neglecting me
