Poem
in the moorland amidst the scores of heather soft touches of amber silents fall from heaven's light within the gossamer breeze daylight violets sway drawing memories out in a thought by chance we come together as a petal's fold sipping thoughts like morning dew where there is love there are fades of hope I sit below the millpond watching moonflowers close within the misty morn my blushed reflections glance back in custom stares as love comes here i feel you rise and fall in the cadence of breaths from the depths of my soul where there are lingers of love's committed grace our caring faith is hidden beneath winds of fate oh to stop the hands of time and feel your hands atop mine o love, of love let us write nigh come together again, for all lost times fingering more than this pen while caressing rhymes as i am writing this love letter from the calvary of mind shall we write together the distance of time? elaborate streams of verse collaborate a metaphor of more than letters and somber words on faded sheets of white come write with me within the edges of my soul be the folds of dawn as amber hues silents night the breath behind daylight violet's sway the custom stares in pond's reflection when love comes here my hearts skips along life's journey of love's committed grace undying within my soul where there is still caring faith and the chance we come together upon my dying days writing this love letter alone for old times, for all times in hopes that we shall write together beyond the hues of azure skies on calvary we shall collaborate without letters and words within the sighs of love as my breath draws its final sigh let us elaborate forbidden feelings in fields of forget-me-nots o love of love let us write nigh shall we rise then fall where this is love from the depths of souls where the fragrance of love beckons there is promise of tomorrow when too my eyes close in eternal darkness only then shall we rest on more than sheets of white where thoughts crumble like paper as tears fill the voids of streams with my sorrow August 19, 2019 Let Us Collaborate a Love Verse Poetry Contest Sponsored by James Edward Lee Sr.
