Poem
The Reality of Depressions Hold The heart throbs with every beat it yearns to be loved, To feel that butterfly flutter of affection, a touch of love, The soul yearns and searches for happiness and comfort, To feel at home, to feel at peace to feel ones cosy comforts, But once they break beyond repair its hard to feel anything, No emotion exists any longer love, pain or anger, not a thing, Your heart turns to stone and your soul shrivels till ice thin, The flesh turns, to knights armour thick not to let a thing in, Your beyond reach no one can penetrate or find any feeling, Incarcerated captive within, all you do is day dreaming, The terror twists sweet dreams into darkened nightmares, Then it begins, darkness plagues you life it pulls and tears, The person you once knew becomes a distant memory, Motivation flees, leaving a shell with no drive no energy, Know one could foresee, your life becoming such a tragedy, Your left with this person, instead of who you wanted to be, People just stood by silently, watching you fade away distantly, Smiles mask the broken pieces i force myself to hide inside, A skilled master of deception no one wants to see that I lied, Falling into myself, isolating a reclusive from this world, Safely hiding from judgemental stares, i curl and furled, The mind swirls between living or the sweet relief of death, Longing to feel, just wanting to heal, to take a deep breath, But your buried, mentally compressed by such bleakness, Unable to reach the top suppressed down by your weakness, Its taken over, your now engulfed by the bitter darkness, The hearts yearns have ceased because you are heartless, Your soul black as coal devoured by regret and aggression, No longer yourself you’ve become a possessed oppression, You feel lost unable to find away back from your new fate, Your alone, no one will follow this path you are left to take, There is no light that gleams at the end of the road just gloom, Haunted by self loathing shadows that follow to your doom, Your mind becomes dominated by depressions rock, iron grip, There is no escaping, held hostage you cant simply jump ship, This disease lives within you, controls you, now it owns you, The question is do you have what it takes to pull through, Please believe me when i say if i can do it the you can to!
