Poem
I believe I've been heard in the awakening of silence I relieve the sorrow from your tongue of decadence You've been hurt and I can feel it to the deepest core You're not alone, so don't say no one cares no more Sore to the touch is how I am right now Your carelessness is hurting me somehow I need you to know that you're lost, But you are not alone at any cost I got to start going above the surface of your lies I ought to think twice before waving my goodbyes I feel like I am going under your waves of doubts and all I'm not a failure and I can survive by standing oh so tall I want to move forward from where I am at this moment I want to forget and forgive my past and this reminiscent That repeats in my brain for hours on end There is some hope beyond the river bend You stare at me as I fall a fall of I've-truly-lost-it-all… I am shivering with fear and colliding against the wall My knees are bleeding with remorse How did all this mess get out of course? How did we get into this mess in the first place? Mend me with your beauty kiss stains of grace Collapsing into the troubles of my lonesome days Collapsing into the band wagon of my old ways Help me Kiss me back to life Have mercy Upon my life of strife I ache and I break While you rise and shine I break for your sake, Drunk off of my woeful wine You didn't mind my hurt You only wanted comfort You didn't mind my hurt You only wanted comfort Your embers of fervor give me more than I can take Enjoy the swim into my lament lake for my own sake You are a thread in the entangling thorn bush You give me dread, yet a sympathetic push -Inspired by the song Stitches by Shawn Mendes-
