Speak to me words of happiness today
Reap what you sow for my utter dismay
It's incredible how time flies nowadays
It's indescribable - this emotion I held on to for so many days

Lift me...what about you lift me?
Give me...give me a reason to believe
Relieve the scars inside me, baby
Drifting away from His lane...now, I grieve

This emotion caught me under its wicked spell
My devotion, my darling love...where do you dwell? 
There is a river of hope between us, so don't worry
There is a maze we must get through to feel happy 

Lift me and you'll see that I am stronger
Than you realize and I will show you straight
In the eyes...you're blind and I no longer
Mind that you desert me with horrendous hate

The grains of sand is dangling on the bottom of my feet
I need to understand where I stand to feel complete 
Speak to me words of passionate delight, so I can see the light tonight
Open up the corridors of my pure strength, so I can fight the good fight

Lift me up higher than the clouds above
I am down and about in the streets of darkness
Encourage me to ascend with your love
I am walking this town of distressful discreetness

Let me sleep in benevolent bliss,
Not in despair or hopelessness 
I lay down in bed, wide awake again
Wondering where my mind has been…

At what I can do...I am longing to overcome
The waves of emotion that left us in a sad daze
Mend the bullet wounds that left me numb 

The mirror reflects this worthlessness inside
The shallow waters below me is where I'll hide
Your shadow of shame embraced the moonlight
I seek the sunshine of better days every night

Lift me higher again and again and again 
Take me out of my dark and desolate den
Uplift me with your shimmering might too
Sift out the strife and make me a brighter blue

I am trying to breathe in the flames of your passion
I am flying a little bit more and I smile with compassion
I pray that happiness comes my way every single minute of every single day 
I must say how proud I am to feel the way I feel today or actually tonight, but hey
