Sometimes I feel insignificant
I try to school my son about my past ignorance
I paint the pictures vivid hoping that he gets it
don’t chase the fast change
Son stay out the fast lane
It leads to where dreams die and nightmares reighn

My peoples plight concern me
I still Yearn to be free
From all the dysfunction in my family tree

They want to serve crack
Smoke herb stacks
Play the curb strapped
I’m perturbed that 
We cant curve that

Wish I could save them all but I cant mind ponders
Feeling hopeless like Don Cheadle in  Hotel Rwanda
the struggle is still amongst us the youngus are dieing
the other half running round wild clapping that iron
shorty only 10 years old
but stop drop,pop it,and roll
like she practicing to dance on the pole

the whole hood got habbits that they cant quite kick yet
weather its,crack,cognac,weed or citgarettes
fatback,fried pork chops,or chicken breast
nicottene,caffine,or illegal business
in the absence of innocense
they'll clap at witneses
as a latch attempt to avoid jail sentences

he 38 but talks like a teenager
time in that cage can stop your mental maturation
I understand it but I find it hard to watch
as they trap in the trap til they get boxed in a box
so ignorant over infatuated with simpleness
they die to be fly,so they fall from the sky like Icarus

there's hardly one righteous amongst us
these rappers done brainwashed all the youngsters
until they hate themselves like uncle ruckus
we heading for self destruction
