“The Tear” How many oceans of salt does it take to form a tear? Unrelenting waves of sorrow pounding a broken heart hears the howl of sharp beaked foolish flying monkeys ignorant feeding frenzies swallow whole lost families swept up by the brooms of bitter winds fouled by gormless folly and ego blown barren witches Blood thicker than water thins, played for suckers into the slippery hands of Darkness delivering what is most precious on a silver platter for a feast to celebrate Now there, there Darkness, The Usurper stalks through Hell’s Chartreuse Gates slick like a scaly serpent and slithers into a sterile room, antiseptic floored, there she teleports her invisible dirt five fathoms a tone below atone There, superior in the game she has played sits Darkness, The Usurper like a Queen on another’s purloined throne ever present on the other side with a Lightless dead mind, sightless eyes, barred doors closed windows, a passive aggressive smile obsessed with slicing up another’s pulsating heart as one with the One never to be mentioned, like at Voldermort’s behest, the two are close, they are blood, thick and fast madness drives two families apart Darkness drags them through failure this is no practice run, this is no test, the rabid monkeys have caught the ugly scent She eats up greedily the other’s pure Mother Essence The stage and script are warped, surreal and bent The great pretender pretends to help the homeless northward now wraps her tentacles round phantom-bellied and satiated drugging the malleable child with false nursery rhymes and expensive toys Kidnapping time she sits like a saint holding possessively, the golden trophy another woman’s pride and joy How many dreams stolen does it take to bury the truth good mothers betrayed and their children to buy... Darkness, The Usurper lives the life, the life of lies peace doves do not exist do not flutter by Words and minds caged are held to ransom by Darkness, The Usurper, the great pretender who barricades Heaven’s thoughts like black winged buzzing flies pinned to a wall consecrated bed time stories are burnt to cinders all good memories desecrated all music and keys swallowed freedom ruthlessly eviscerated Darkness twists the knife in deeper, and so follows the screaming monkeys cowardly deserters all - Darkness strokes a Black Dog like she cares, then kicks it’s hind into the forever fall never ending, a bottomless pit, the betrayed, falls burnt and torn at one with all the other hands fallen and blackballed before ghosts of former selves, moaning for release from the wretched wailing wall Darkness draws forward her brother Silence he is hidden very well, secrets must be kept with the key Darkness has swallowed she undoes his shackles and holds him by a leash, turning him towards the mirror she holds up for him, he sees for once that he is real, fawning over him like a lover done no wrong, secrets now are just a bad dream, all secrets now are buried and are sealed between lines drawn a child dares not step over boundary to a mother now long boxed up and thoroughly deceased buried, forgotten, withered, then unborn Between Heaven and Hell Purgatory holds no peace Freedom is a noose soft rope forgotten Lavender and Laudanum leave no burns at least A white page bleeds maggots crawl like minions waiting for the veil to tear How many oceans of salt does it take to form a tear?
