It’s 3:45 and my eyes are sore, had an hours sleep, but needed more, my head is full, my bed is soft, this room is cold, must be a frost, the dreams I have, feel so real, I know not true, so what’s the deal, I can’t switch off, I wish I could, I need some sleep, then comes a flood, of other doubts, that’s in my head, of people missing, and people dead, the ones I love, the ones I know, I wish I could change, this nasty show, I’m not enough, I never am, my life’s a mess, my life’s a sham, when will it end, when will it stop, I’m on the edge, I see the drop, I lay and wait, I lay and stir, my heads a mess, my days a blur, the nights are dark, the nights are long, i fight my dreams, I’m not that strong, i lay and wait, to see the light, the morning glow, the new days fight, I’ve given up, the tv’s on, another night, my demons won.
