Poem
Please, may I walk into your paradise with you with its streets of gold and bright skies of blue? My darling, you are in my sorrow-filled sad eyes your kiss, honey in my ecstasy cries! This true love, its bliss must be heaven sent for your love, I'd all my dark sins repent Please sweetheart, may I hold you tighter every night always be with you, never lose your sight? My dearest, your heavenly beauty, this soul saves your romantic ardor, pleading heart craves! This true love, its bliss must be heaven sent for your love, I'd all my dark sins repent Succumbing to passionate powers, your love's charms Please , may I forever rest in your arms? My angel, I swear we will never be apart our love is shown on every new star chart! This true love, its bliss must be heaven sent for your love, I'd all my dark sins repent Dance with me where petals sing for you, delicate with desire. Without you I’m desolate. Let’s rhythmically entwine, leave lost tears behind - nectar sipped from flower’s cup will remind.. 'Tis true my love, our love is heaven sent your heart is mine there’s nothing to repent. With wild abandon take me in your lusty whirl where a kaleidoscope of stars unfurl, our silhouettes left tremulous neath sky’s love-lights midst fireworks that satisfy appetites. 'Tis true my love, our love is heaven sent my heart is yours there’s nothing to repent. Stay with me forever, earthly and then beyond magnificent and magical our bond. Wearing naught but sweet swaths of light’s sheerest stardust we’ll travel time in tantra wanderlust. 'Tis true my love, our love is heaven sent our love lives on there’s nothing to repent Robert J. Lindley and Susan Ashley (a collaboration) May 18, 2019 *Tantra; a set of spiritual practices that direct the universal energies into the practitioner, thereby leading to liberation. Meaning "to weave" in Sanskrit, the term is derived from two words: tanoti, which means "to stretch" or "to expand," and trayati, which means "liberation."* Poet’s note: my dear friend, it is always an honor and a pleasure to share friendship and mix ink with you. Thank you for your unending patience with me, as my lack of free time these days tends to delay the writing process and the posting of our poetic creations. I am ever inspired by your shining romantic soul and golden poet’s heart, Robert. I cherish our shared poetic fellowship and truly appreciate your generosity in extending this wonderful invitation for me to be a part of this lustrous artistic endeavor with you. Once again, dear Robert, your muse has stirred my soul.
