Poem
It's a beautiful day The sun is shining The wind is blowing The place is still And my heart is chilled I feel a little awkward And overtly bothered I know that it is a special day But I could not remember which day I got up and pray giving thanks for another day I still don’t know what’s going on today I was wondering if it was my birthday No, I wasn’t born in May we are just half way I kept hearing a familiar tune that my mother used to sing in school It’s playing loud and a woman is screaming in ecstasy next door, And the man lying beside her is calming her down and giving her more I turned up my music to drown out the sound resonating in the background I wander listlessly around the house with a heavy burden Suddenly I heard it on the news that today is mother’s day Oh, it is mother’s day so why don’t you go out and play? No playground, no children around, and no chef in town So go out and buy some flowers and climb the highest towers Look beyond the sea and you will hear her calling thee Here I am sitting with tears welled up in my eyes Waiting Waiting for my mother’s calls Here I am sitting in this lonely place Waiting Waiting for someone to call Year after year Months after months, Day after day No one come my way I can feel my mother’s spirit around me I know that she is somewhere out at sea But she doesn’t know where to find me No telephone, no number, no address I don’t were she is taking her rest Here I am waiting Hoping that someone would tell me About my mother''s destiny The signs and symbols didn’t work They make me think more and more And I am not sure If they have something to say to me Why don’t they approach me? I asked the people in the Beijing embassy To help me to locate my mother’s family But they kept silent and left me in agony I want to hear the truth from their mouth About my mother’s where about I have not seen her for the past fifteen years I know that she has so much to share I can still smell the aroma coming from her kitchen And the children and their parents rolling in The last time I saw my mother was in two thousand and four She was strong healthy and running about She was always singing and praying For her children and Grandchildren Friends and love ones I wish if she was here, I would tell her that I care Today is mother’s day May God bless all mothers everywhere Wet mothers Biological mothers Foster mother s God mothers And Grandmother I send my love to all of you And hope that your dreams will come true. Happy Mother’s day to you
