“50 Words for Poe: Phantasmagoria” “Darling, there’s someone here who would like to meet you...” This was how it all began - ‘twas the night of the Ghost Ball the room was pumping and the Lothario put on a good show standing tall, all 6’4, you know, alpha man he grabbed her waist his hands set her on fire, they danced the Boston Two Step and the Bumblebee Beelzebub Fox Trot, she was Ghost Queen dancing dainty feet all over Erin’s Pride the saucy Succubi all steered clear they found some wondering Wallflower Werewolves to kiss and mislead, to go jump & to slide honey infused their wanton mead He led her through all the dancing shadows past the French-kissing lecherous Love-is-Us Incubus who with fiendish grin, and low growl put a finger to his lips and hissed with a whistling howl "catch you later sweet cheeks - say 1 hour?" and on they traversed through Dantes Infernal Dungeon where a huddle of Vixenish Victoria Secret Vampires flirted with Wannabe Voldemort Esquires she began to feel … a growing sense of ire something was amiss she sensed a funeral pyre Through the kitchen of Ghostly Hallows and out the back entrance to where Death silently waited under a flashing neon exit sign Silver Lady in neutral lay purring door open black cats prowling rats in heat trash cans in a back alley far from the wholesomeness of all those Dead Poets living on High Street a rat scurried over their feet in it’s mouth a detail not complete the key written in devil’s ink once invisible code on spectral paper swallowed by Mr Twitching Whiskers now lay covered in bile juices where words were now visibly erupting within the big old grisly Gray rat’s furry belly It read...”…...” well one would have to rip into the belly of the beast to decipher the message covert not complete King for a Day, played from the Silver Lady’s open throat “Enter," he smiled charmingly, strong hands and piercing eyes felicitously directing Ghost Girl towards the open door, like condemned witch before 1612 Pendle Assizes "Darling, there’s someone here who would like to meet you, he's rather important, holds some weight he’s not another fickle, philandering Ghost, with him lies your true fate” She rolled her eyes, sighed with exasperation and haughty chagrin, “Well, if I must - for this, I can't wait, for His story to begin” (LadyLabyrinth/2019) https://youtu.be/WtKc-2iQyuY
