Poem
We turned off before reaching Kings Lynn and headed down a road that would take us to Henderson Aerodrome a local flying school, we were waved through the main gate and headed onto the main runway and pulled up by a small jet. "This is it "said Tim, our transport, we all got on the jet except Bill and buckled up and Tim gave the okay to the pilot who started the engines and taxied to the short runway, this would be tight I thought, he headed down and just before we reached the end took off and I could see we were heading north. Tim took out some papers and then turned to me and said "This is the brief I got this morning so I am as wise as you so here we go, on June 25th 1970 at 03.30 B.S.T., strange radio signals were picked up from the following coordinates' lat 57• 28'44.69" N, -4•13'26.33" W. by G.C.H.Q in Cheltenham and were of a nature never heard of before, the signal moved in a north-westerly direction from Inverness and they picked it up for a further two hours before it went silent, but radio pulses have been transmitted from that location since then, code breakers have been unable to decipher anything from them and they have been working non stop, but as yet nothing, but that is not all, he handed me a black and white photograph, I was shocked and lost for words when I saw the picture he said that was taken three days ago and as yet we haven't a clue as to what it is and that is why we have gathered experts like yourself to try and get some positive answers. After about an hour in the air we began our descent and the pilot then announced to fasten our seat belts for landing, and announced that we would soon be landing at Inverness airport. We touched down and two army land rovers were waiting for us, we got out of the jet and climbed straight into one of the land rover's and sped off to the exit where two soldiers waved us through , we drove out of Inverness and were soon out in the countryside and about two hours later pulled up to the edge of a forest, there were three armed soldiers and there was a large sign saying war games in progress keep out, danger of death, with a large emblazoned skull and cross bones on it, they didn't want any sightseers I thought. We got out and walked along a track used by the forestry commission, we walked about a mile and it was a hive of activity there were three army camouflaged porta cabins, five large green tents and lots of people moving around and most were wearing hazmat suits. We were greeted by Nicolas Soames whom I was told was a top government scientist and was in charge of the whole operation, “Gentlemen “he said "Follow me for a briefing on the situation thus far". We went into the first porta cabin and Nicholas gave us an update on events, he went on to say that after the radio signals were heard a helicopter based at R.A.F. Lossiemouth was sent to investigate and after seeing what you will see in a short while, contacted the M.O.D. in London who then passed it on to the Prime ministers office who ordered a news blackout and a top investigation. He then told us to go into the next porta cabin and put on hazmat suits and we would be taken to the site, ten minutes later we were being escorted down a path to a large clearing, and before we reached there I could hear a humming noise and felt a drop in temperature and then there it was standing before us and we just stood in total awe.
