Poem
I dreamed a dream, So comforting, so revealing, That I felt like I could release More than thousand red balloons in the air! I dreamed a dream, And I started to smile at life, I started to live, I started to ground my belief in God, I started to celebrate the trust that I had On His power and in His words! Why, the dream was connected to the one Which I had had more than a decade ago, The one which had shouted out to me That abiding to the skies shall I have to be As, I am chosen by them! Yes, the dream made sense to everything which I had thought had been mere parcels of my imagination; The need to keep my body pure and untouched The need to adopt a spiritual lifestyle The need to abandon myself to the will of God As, in the very end, He remains the one to lead my soul on my fate! Pray, the dream had my heart racing, It had me giggling like a teenager in love, hidden, Under my bedsheets, It had me biting my lips in expectant ecstasy, Why, it even had me suffocating with glee As, mind you, It revealed to me that I have been thrust On the same path as the one for which had yearned My broken self since more than a decade ago, The one chosen, like me, by the skies, For a purpose which transcends human understanding, Human reasoning and human perception! The dream had happened on a fine night of December Of the year 2017, now To trust in its essence is all that I can do and To act according to its wishes I have been since then, Smiling sweetly and daring to bare my heart Even if I have always been, a shy mermaid, Choosing always to hide in the shelter of my shell Dreaming of what it would be like to reveal In passionate frenzy, the exact proportions of my feelings! I dreamed a dream Which changed the course of my whole life, Without it, I would have simply been living, Stonily, as would a robot, Going about with my duties, waiting for when The skies would open themselves to me! But I dreamed that dream And it has me wanting to live, Tangled, trapped and taken in its truths, in its essence, In its visions, in its depths, Holding on with such strength that no power, Celestial or mundane, Could tear me away from it!
