I feel your anxious pivot to create
We flow the same irresolute way,
Often in raging storms
And sometimes in playful gallops
We see ahead 
That path onto the light of laughs
I am in awe of your effort to get there
I am in awe of your knowing smile 

There is pain in every goofy moment we share
We remember that misery unites our surety
And that laughter reconciles our troubled minds
You make sure that I am safe with each burst of sound
You surprise me in an all-encompassing hug
I gape and guffaw at your spontaneous passion

Knowing that you must speak, 
I listen to the wisdom of your fast beating sentiments
That is telling of your pondering intentions
You mean for me to bloom as you do
You want me to express all sides of me
Because all sides deserve to grow 

I also see that you have self-odium in your bones
And the emptiness of routine eats away at you
Because you are not the cycle you find yourself in
You live in what you are infinitely Not.
I remind you that this is a temporary misery
That you will soon be fulfilled
Once you can find the wide open spaces 
In the peacefulness of waters, trees and stars 
That will quench your wanderlust and thirst for exploration
Soon enough, 
As sudden as your lightening embrace, 
You will be surrounded in all that you love
And all your labor, 
All your patience for true love shall not be in vain

Till then, I will galvanize every joy from your body
And rattle your bones with thunderous giggles
I will stimulate your mind with all the possibilities
And you will defend all that we have built together
You will defend all that is in us
You will guard our self-determining spirits
To a place, inward, 
Of peace and belonging

I learned from you the art of endurance,
Taking and cherishing each moment
One tremulous breath at a time
I learned that we travel not alone in our woes
And that beauty awaits at all stops
Beauty that fills that emptiness time and time again
Gemini, I love you as sure as there is hope
I love that you are simple, yet complex
I love that you can blend in with the ordinary, 
And yet you can be so transparently weird
I love that you cannot function 
Without pleasure
Without philosophy
Without excitement, 
And that you cannot unravel meaning
Without artful expression
Through that signature, verbal bluntness 
And your tenacious feats
You trek forward despite conflict
You embrace dissonance
Without denying pain in between

What is pleasing of all,
Is that you are not intrusive 
Of swindling emotions
You know I must experience them
That I must work through the doubt
You let me feel wholeheartedly
You ask me where my heart is
You care where my mind is
You always have me in your view,
And you always make me smile

You are Guardian, 
You are Friend,
You are Father,
And you are Brother
You are many cheerful faces
You are tons of ridiculous and beautiful ideas
You are the Stranger that passes by,
And are, thus onward,
My soul-embracer,
Never forgotten
Acknowledged,
And always valued
